Aftaab's new show Ce Jour-la got performed in
France during September and October 2009 and was great
to have French looking to Afghanistan from a different
angle. Aftaab also performed Le Tartuffe, which is
getting performed since 2006. Ce
Jour-la or "On That Day" tells the story of
Afghanistan from the day Taliban stepped into
Afghanistan till now. The show is a collaborative work
of Aftaab and Theatre dul soleil of France.
There
is a possibility that Aftaab perform it in Afghanistan
as well. |

Aftaab's last trip which
was to Lahore, Pakistan ended up with four bomb blasts.
After they left the auditorium and drove to Torkham
(Afghanistan - Pakistan border) 4 explosions took place
one after another.
Fortunately no body
got injured because they left the area 4 hours prior to the
explosions.
Aftaab cancelled
its trip to India which was for 'Bharat Rang Mahutsav' since there
were also a few bomb explosions in Mumbai. (January - 2008) |
